OMS v2.3.6

Midi Manager 2.0.2

Midi Thru simply connects a controller synth to a slave synth. Midi Thru allows you to slave up to six synths, sending on the midi channels of your choice. It's great for those times when you don't want to fire up a major memory eating sequencing program to use as a midi thru or when you want to write lyrics in your word processor and don't have enough memory left to fire up your memory hogging midi sequencer or if you just want to jam on those favorite synth modules. It's also good for layering up to six synths. It's a simple program that does one thing and one thing well. It's a Midi Thru !!!! Midi Thru works on any mac running sys 7.0 and up with at least 2.0 meg of free ram. Best of all Midi Thru is absolutely free of charge. Yes, thats no $$$BUCKS$$$!

Requirements

*A Mac with a 68040 processor or greater running System 7.5.1 and up with 6 megabytes of extra ram. The MPX 100 Editor is a fat binary application, which means it has native code for both the 680xx family of processors and the PPC family of processors (601's, 603's, 604's, G3 750's and G4's).

*Midi Thru requires Opcode's OMS v1.2.3 software or higher (Current Version - 2.3.6).
.
Using OMS 2.3.6 (or Opcode's Latest Version) with Midi Thru will produce the best results and allow you to use all of Midi Thru's features with a minimum of effort.

Midi Thru's Main Window

Midi Thru 1.1 Preview
Midi Thru's Output Configure Window

To use Midi Thru select midi setup from the file menu, click on auto setup and click OK. Then click Midi Thru's configure button. Midi thru now knows what your OMS or Midi Manager setup is. At this point you simply select an input instrument (controlling synth) from the input pulldown menu. Now you click one of the six configure buttons and select an output instrument (slave synth) from the output pulldown menu. Then select the midi channel you want the slave synth to receive on. If you decide to leave the midi channel set to zero, then Midi Thru will pass the midi channel of the input device through. You can also select a patch change if you'd like. (just 0 to 127-no bank change messages yet.) Now play your controlling synth and you should hear the slave synth as long as it's set to recieve on that selected midi channel. You can now save this setup by selecting "Save as Setup" from the file menu.
